Seasons Change

I had been saving this kimono for a special shoot where the combination of it's velvet, sheer and tiny beads could be captured beautifully. Paulina from Mint and Chillies Photography did an excellent job, don't you think? 

I wore my kimono with a floaty top that I bought from Zara when I was visiting Barcelona in July. I don't own many plain tops, but I love the chic double-layer cut of this one and the way it swishes as I walk! My lace shorts add more texture to many of my outfits, and I think it contrasts well with the velvet and sheer kimono. This is definitely one of my favourite looks for the transition between Summer and Autumn.

Spiked rings and arrow bracelet from Forever21

This is the outfit I wore last night to see one of my favourite bands called Haim. I like the idea of being inspired by a band's dress sense when seeing them live, and Haim are fans of the t-shirt, the leather jacket and the odd floral - so why not combine them in my own way?
