On the 21st of March, Yves Saint Laurent will be released in British cinemas, which a lot of us fashion fans are excited to see. The film portrays the life of the designer, from the beginning of his career at Christian Dior to setting up his own fashion house. We have him to thank for inventing wardrobe must-haves such as the jumpsuit and sheer blouse. His most iconic design has to be 'Le Smoking' jacket which was created in 1966. This featured masculine tailoring and it remains a look worn by many women today including Alexa Chung. It has even been referenced in the recent Saint Laurent AW14 collection. To celebrate the film's release, I have put together my own Le Smoking suit. It is also my entry for Access All ASOS's competition, so fingers crossed I get to win some ASOS vouchers!
