Scotland is home to so many incredibly talented creatives, although they haven't always had the amount of exposure they deserve. Luckily, The Scottish Design Exchange is helping change that. The not-for-profit concept store launched in 2015 and allows shoppers to explore a diverse range of local talent. You'll find collections from fashion designers, artists, textile designers, photographers, jewellery designers and more.
When choosing outfits for this shoot, there were so many pieces I loved that it wasn't easy to decide! This silk dress by emerging brand Rosamund of Scotland was an absolute must though. It's beautifully cut and I adore the colourful print of door-fronts. The dress is from a Royal Mail inspired collection called Love Letters, designed by Chloe White and features textile designs by Susan White. Other pieces include a postbox printed skirt and a hand embroidered envelope clutch. They're so sweet and also sustainably sourced. I can't wait to see what comes next from the designer duo.
When I was checking out The Scottish Design Exchange's jewellery collections, I was immediately drawn to the colourful bracelets designed by Marishah. The one I picked out features a tiny gold buckle on a turquoise strap. It's so pretty and unusual.
If you haven't visited this amazing store yet, head over to the 1st floor at Ocean Terminal and prepare to swoon. You can also follow on Instagram to find out what's new in store. My next blog post will feature three more amazing designers so look out for that.
